" أأنا أبارك قلاية المبارك؟ وهل أنا
الملطَّخ بالدَّنس أُبارك اُلمطهَّر" ؟

مكان سر.كانت القلاية غير مكَّنسة
وينقصها الترتيب. ولكن هذه تفاصيل دقيقة في الجاهد الروحي. فأين الوقت
لمثل هذه الأشغال؟
أحضر لي الشيخ قليلا من الماء وقطعة من راحة الحلقوم إظهار ًا للمودة.
وإنك لتحس إحساسًا حقيقيًا في البرية
بالحب الصادق البريء لا غش فيه . ففي الطبق الصغير، ومع ا لقليل من الماء
وقطعة الحلوى الصغيرة ثمة قلب
الراهب بكامله. لأنه يقدم لك كل ما لديه.
قال: أأنت قادم من العالم؟
قلت:أجل.
قال: كيف حال العالم؟
هذا هو السؤال الذي تسمعه عادة في الجبل المقدَّس . لكنه هذه المرة ذو
مغزى عظيم، لأن الراهب السائل قد هجر
العالم منذ خمسين عامًا من دون أن يعود إليه ! والناسك يعلم أيضًا معنى
العالم . إنه خليقة الله ويصير في الوقت عينه

يعيش كما يليق به تعالى. فقد أْقَفرت الكنائس من
العابدين وامتلأت بؤر الشيطان . لقد هجر العاَلم الآباء الروحين، فغصت
مستشفيات الأمراض النفسية بالمرضى .
العالم تقلقه أشغاله،
وانهماكاته منحصرة في الأمور الدنيوية وحدها. اليوم عندنا إنتخابات،
وغدًا تسقط الحكومة وبعد غد تعقد مؤتمرات،
الخ..الخ...لا يقرأ سوى الجرائد اليومية، أما الكتاب المقدَّس فيجهلونه .
وهم يقضون الساعات الطوال في مشاهدة
أفلام الشيطان التي تخدرهم، ولا يشاهدون حياة القديسين...
قال الناسك القديس : "يا للعالم المعذَّب الشقي . إن الشيطان يحكمه،
وهو يأتيه كلَّ يوم بحالات وحوادث لكي يسلبه
الاهتمام بتذكر يسوع، فيكف عن رؤية ذاته وجراحه الباطنية، ويكون الآخرون
موضع اهتمامه، من دون نفسه . هذا
الهرب ينشىء الصراع الباطني الذي ذكرتموه. إن آدم قد أخطأ فتوارى، وهرب
من أمام الله فتوالت عليه النوائب
